What we saw inside a textile business was real time and money spent proving an idea would work before a client ever said yes: physical print samples produced, pattern proofs coordinated, runs redone when feedback came back different than expected. That cost sat ahead of the sale, not after it. Each hour spent producing a one-off sample for a prospect was an hour not spent on the next design, which made that studio's own sales process slower and more expensive than it needed to be, for reasons that had nothing to do with the quality of the work.

What we built

We spent time on site before designing anything, to understand what was actually slowing that process down. What we built was PATTRN: a pattern-design tool a studio can put directly on its own site, with a tenant admin dashboard, a pattern library the studio curates itself, a live editor for the pattern being shown, and inquiry capture built in so a lead never sits stuck in a tool the studio's own team does not use day to day. The decision that shaped all of it was the same one: build something the studio's own team could run without routing every change back through us.

Where it stands

PATTRN is in beta. It is our proof, both to ourselves and to the studios we want to work with next, that we can go deep into a business we do not run, find the real friction inside it, and build custom tooling around that friction. The case we're making with PATTRN is that tooling built this way is meant to save a studio real time and money, and to turn more of those samples into a close, not just look good in a pitch deck.
